I have about 8 years of experience across Marketing, Product Strategy and Product Development, User Experience Design and Research. I am passionate about design driven innovation.
Since late 2010, I am Vice President of Marketing & Experience at Spire, a Talent Intelligence platform startup with a specific focus on Talent Management products. I have been responsible for developing the brand from scratch, online marketing and channel strategies, customer engagement and customer development, and defining features for key talent products.
Previously, I started up and led Product User Experience and Design teams for Yahoo!, Oracle, and PeopleSoft between 2004 and 2010 including for search & display advertising platforms, digital advertising formats, domain specific enterprise applications such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Human Resource Systems (HRMS), and
Between 2003 and 2004 I worked as an independent product and research consultant in India. In the mobile technology space, I worked with CKS Consulting (South Asia’s first design research firm for emerging markets) on Learning Lab, an open standards consortium to explore mobile technologies for education. In the enterprise product space, I worked on the user experience of key products for SupportSoft. I also worked on India’s first rural e-governance in Bellandur, near Bangalore.
I started my career as a researcher at the Decision Support Laboratory at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities where I worked on NSF sponsored development of decision support software for expert machinists. I also hold an MS in engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a major in mechanical engineering and a minor in Computer Science.
I also hold a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (Now National Institute of Technology) in Allahabad, India which I completed in 1999.
